The NC Fossil Diver course is designed for the beginner fossil diver. During the course, you will learn basic fossil identification, geological history, and search techniques to help safely maximize your dives. Fossil diving in NC requires divers to descend to depths ranging from 85-105 feet. At those depths, your bottom time is limited. Add to that all the extra tasks required to fossil dive and you can imagine that there is quite a learning curve before you become an efficient fossil diver. Graduates of this course will have a head start over divers that learn over repetitive dives some of the skill taught in the course.
